I spent a lot of time researching what outdoor clothesline to buy. Once I decided, the site I was planning on buying it from was out of stock. So I came back to Amazon, because they had the same product, which actually comes from Target. My shipping was a little slow, the estimated arrival date was extended by about 2 weeks (only taking one extra week to arrive). Once my husband put it up, I was excited to see how much extra room I had compared to my old one. He told me that the string was really loose on it, and he had to tighten it before I was able to put clothes on it. I see that we will need to do it again after a few loads have been put out to dry. Over all I think this is a great product. It's a major step up from my old one, and is sturdy. The steel (versus aluminum) was a requirement from my husband to ensure it would last. For me, having it steel doesn't make it that much more heavy than an aluminum.
Strong design. Easy to install. No stringing of lines required. It really just falls into place. Great idea for helping reduce your carbon footprint. Use the sun to dry your clothes and get free ultraviolet radiation to make 'em fresh again. The sun drying of clothes is a very efficient way to save on power and get free clothes drying. This is a very well-designed product.
Use care in putting heavy quilts and other serious water absorbing items on it since a thunderstorm will add many pounds to the load and possibly result in overloading the arms.
